The President’s recent efforts to recruit players for the next tour were spotted by our roving reporter.

The closing date for the caption competition is June 30th.

The Sou’Westers will be taking part in a 6-a-side tournament at Colchester CC on Saturday to kick off the 2014 season. In a packed day, our first game will be at 10:30am.

We are currently holding 33 deposits which include 4 Umpires! For the Tour to go ahead we need 5 to 6 more suitable cricketers preferably Sou’westers or those who have played for us or those well known to us.

Our wonderful and courageous son Rob, died this morning at 1.30am. We were by his side. He is an inspiration to us in death as he has always been in life.

His last words to us were “Be Happy!” We have every intention of obeying instructions and we know that we can rely upon you to help us.

We will send further details of Rob’s funeral arrangements when they are known.

Paddy and Julyan Heazall passed away together in a car accident whilst on holiday in America on Sunday, September 8. Missed desperately by their three children and one grandchild as well as the many hundreds of people whose lives they touched. Read the rest of this entry »

The next international tour has now been finalised for Easter 2015 over school holidays , departing Friday March 27th. and returning Saturday April 11th. It involves 8 working days.
